Taha Shah reveals how Aditya Roy Kapur replaced him in Ranbir Kapoor's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Heeramandi star Taha Shah Badussha is basking in the glory of all the love he is getting for the series. He brought alive the character of Tajdar to perfection. Taha Shah has been in the industry for some time now. The handsome actor is however getting recognition only after the global success of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali show. Taha Shah Badussha revealed in an interview that he was shortlisted for Dharma Movies’ Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. He said that he was almost finalized but Aditya Roy Kapur replaced him. But he said he had no regrets as the Aashqui 2 star did a great job as Avi. 

Taha Shah said that Aditya Roy Kapur was a bigger star than him at that point, and did full justice to the role. So, while he was disappointed he had great respect for him. He felt that Aditya brought alive the vulnerability of Avi in a lovely manner. He was the BFF of Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor) and Aditi (Kalki Koechlin) in the film. It is shown that he struggles to find a calling in his life, and ends up drowning his struggles in alcohol. Aditi’s character was in one-sided love with him when they were adolescents.

Taha Shah reveals he is single

Taha Shah said that he is very much single now. It seems he broke up with a long-time girlfriend a year back. He said he was distraught but then bagged the role of Tajdar Baloch in Heeramandi. He said he put all his energies for the role of the poetic lover boy with revolutionary leanings on the show. Fans want him back in some form in the second season. Taha Shah’s old projects too are being visited by his new fans. Some have even compared his innocent charm to that of Sushant Singh Rajput.
