Gurucharan Singh, widely recognized for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," has been in the headlines recently. Missing since April 22 this year, Gurucharan returned home on Friday. According to an India Today report citing the Delhi Police, Gurucharan had been on a religious journey.
Gurucharan, who was visiting his parents in Delhi, was expected to return to Mumbai. However, his family filed a missing person complaint when he didn't return as scheduled. The police launched an investigation, and it was revealed that Gurucharan, a follower of a meditation-practicing sect, had expressed interest in going to the Himalayas for meditation.
During the investigation, Gurucharan informed the police that he had left his worldly life behind to embark on a religious journey. He visited several gurudwaras in cities like Amritsar and Ludhiana. Eventually, he realized that he should return home and did so. The Delhi Police had initially filed a kidnapping case, but it was later clarified that Gurucharan's absence was due to his spiritual quest.
