Sushant Singh's next to be shot in Chambal

The actor will be seen playing dacoit in Abhishek Chaubey's film.

Sushant Singh Rajput is on a spree with back-to-back films in his hands. Not just one or two but, three films. In 2017, he started shooting for two films - Tarun Mansukhani's "Drive" along with Jacqueline Fernandez and Abhishek Kapoor's "Kedarnath" along with Sara Ali Khan which will mark the Bollywood debut of Sara. And now, he will soon start shooting for Abhishek Chaubey's next opposite Bhumi Pednekar. The film will also star Manoj Bajpayee in a key role.

Sushant will start shooting for the film by the end of this month in the Chambal region. He will begin prep for the same three weeks in advance before the shoot takes place.

A source informed, "Sushant is playing a dacoit for the first time and wanted to get into the character before the schedule starts so he will leave for the location on January 12 to spend time with a few former dacoits. He will also lose some muscle weight to look the rustic part as well as learn rifle-shooting."

The source added, "The cast will also have to work on the Bundelkhandi dialect. Abhishek is leaving for Chambal on January 8 for a two-month schedule. This will be followed by a shorter schedule in Mumbai at a later stage."

Interestingly, the fictional story is inspired by the tales of Chambal and is set in the 1970's.

Meanwhile, Drive is slated to release on March 2, 2018, and Kedarnath is slated to release on December 21, 2018.
