Actress Sugandha Garg has proved her artistic skills not just as an actress but also as a singer and a host. She has appeared in many films like Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na, My Name is Khan, Tere Bin Laden earlier. Sugandha's upcoming film 'Jugni' will be her second film in a lead role after Coffee Bloom. As the actress awaits the release of 'Jugni', she shares with us about the film and other aspects.
Since you are singer and the story of Jugni is also based on music. So how was it working for the film?
I think being a musician firstly helped me greatly in getting to play the part and secondly understanding it better. There is a language that musicians speak which is unlike anything and that is what I feel I've tried at least to do in the film.
What are your expectations from this film?
See, the music is already doing really well and it's the soul of the film and lifeline of the film. So, we had acceptance from all corners and composer for the music and I find it difficult as the actor's have their own perspective of their films but that's for the people to decide. Also, throughout my journey for the film, I know that I have put all my honesty and heart there and then the way it is consumed is not up to me.
Who would you consider as your source of inspiration so far?
Well, this is the first time Mr. A.R Rahman has given a song for somebody's album. He hasn't done that before. So Mr. Rahman and Vishal Bhardwaj are the men who have shaped our career and they don't even know that for over two decades they have made us realize that what is good and what is absolutely brilliant and to be in a film that your name could be alongside is of a great satisfaction.
Do you have any upcoming projects lined up?
I have 'Tere Bin Laden 2' the on the 19th of February and I have British channel television series called 'Indian Summers', the second season of which comes in UK.
