Shatrughan Sinha blasts negative news around daughter's wedding
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are marrying on June 23, 2024. A simple registered wedding will be followed by a party at Bastian in Bandra. An audio wedding invite of the couple was also leaked by one of their friends. Celebs like Poonam Dhillon, Pahlaj Nihalani and Honey Singh have confirmed the nuptials. In the middle of all this, rumours have spread that the Sinha family especially Shatrughan Sinha is upset with his daughter’s decision to marry Zaheer Iqbal. The rumoured reasons being the religious difference, and that he is not established enough as an actor. Now, Shatrughan Sinha has finally decided to set the record straight. This has come after reports came that Luv Sinha and mother Punam Sinha apparently unfollowed Sonakshi on social media.
Shatrughan Sinha angrily said it was just the life of his daughter, Sonakshi whom he is very proud of. He said his daughter calls him the pillar of strength in her life. Shatrughan Sinha said he would obviously be present at the wedding, as it was a happy occasion for both of them.

He also indirectly addressed rumours that the family was upset as the actress did not consult them for wedding prep. Shatrughan Sinha said Sonakshi Sinha had every right to choose her life partner and other details of her wedding. He said he is very busy with political work in Delhi. Sinha said he took out time to be in Mumbai shows that he is not only her pillar of strength but real kavach (armour) as well. He was quoted as saying, “Sonakshi and Zaheer have to live their life together. They look very nice together.”
The veteran also hit out at peddlers of fake news. He said they are sounding frustrated and simply spreading lies. Sinha was lastly quoted as saying, “I would like to caution them with my signature dialogue: Khamosh, it's none of your business. Mind only your business.”
