Sidharth Malhotra in Talks with Panchayat Director Deepak Mishra for a Project, to be Produced by Ekta Kapoor

After signing films back to back, Sidharth Malhotra is now in talks with Ekta Kapoor for a feature film that is set to go on floors in 2025.

A source close to the project revealed that the actor is in the initial stages of finalizing the deal. The feature film will be directed by Deepak Mishra, best known for his work on Panchayat.

The source said, "Ekta Kapoor and TVF have partnered to bring unique yet commercial stories to the big screen. This project is part of the deal between Balaji and TVF, and discussions are ongoing with Sidharth Malhotra."

The film is said to be high on drama and emotion, set against the backdrop of folklore deeply rooted in Hindu mythology. The makers aim to create a unique cinematic experience, similar to Kantara. While Sid is expected to hear the final narration in November, the team is planning to begin shooting in the second half of 2025. He will officially sign the contract after the final narration," the source added.

According to recent media reports, Sidharth is also a part of a Maddock Films project and is expected to begin shooting Race 4, starring Saif Ali Khan, in 2025.
