Shivam Khajuria reacts to being replaced in YRKKH: "I am going to miss my character, Rohit.."

The longest-running Star Plus show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has been ruling hearts for its storyline. However, recent developments hint at Rohit's re-entry into the show. Rohit Poddar, who is the younger brother of Armaan and Ruhi's husband, suddenly disappeared from the show, making the Poddars believe Rohit's death. 

Previously, Shivam Khajuria held the role, but the makers have now cast actor Romit Raaj for the character. In a recent interview, Khajuria expressed his thoughts on this new development.

In a Times Now interview, Shivam Khajuria disclosed that he was informed about the casting change and that the production team had kept him updated throughout the process. He expressed optimism about his future projects, mentioning that Rajan Sir has exciting plans for him. 

Reflecting on his role as Rohit, Shivam expressed fondness and hoped that audiences would extend the same love to the new actor stepping into his shoes. He also teased promising news for his fans in the near future

Talking to the mentioned portal, Shivam said, "I was in the loop. Production house and I had a discussion about it. I will reveal my next project soon. Give me some time. I just wish people would give the same amount of love to the new actor as they did to me. I will soon give you all good news."

He concluded by mentioning, "Rajan sir has planned something good for me. I am going to miss my character, Rohit."

Some time back, there was considerable speculation surrounding Rajan Shahi's comeback with a fresh romantic tale for Star Plus, produced under his banner Directors' Kut Productions. This love story was anticipated to introduce two newcomers. Shivam Khajuria had auditioned for the lead role, hinting from his statement that he could potentially make a comeback on television screens through Shahi's upcoming project.

The current track of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai revolves around Armaan and Abhira finally coming together and confessing love for each other. Armaan expresses his intention to remarry Abhira, who is facing strong opposition from Kaveri. She demands that Armaan choose between her and Abhira, and he chooses Abhira, prompting Kaveri to pack her belongings and leave the Poddar house. Before departing, Kaveri blames Abhira for breaking the family and curses her for never having a happy family. While driving away, Kaveri suffers a heart attack, loses control of the car, and crashes into a tree.
