Shikha Singh to enter Betiyaan

Shikha Singh who played the stunt woman, Akruti Bhatt in SAB TV's Left Right Left will soon enter Zee TV's Betiyaan. The happy married life of Akash (Jatin Shah) and Gauri will receive a jolt and things will not be hunky dory between them with the entry of Payal aka Shikha who happens to be Akash's love of the past.

According to our source, "Payal will have a western look and she has got back to meet Akash after a long time. When Akash introduces his wife Gauri to Payal, she is taken aback and wonders how Akash can get married to such a plain looking girl as Gauri".

"Parak Madan who was seen in Burey Bhi Hum was earlier considered for the role, but the actress could not take it up for certain reasons. Shikha will start shooting very soon, and her entry will be aired coming Monday", adds our source.

Shikha's first stint in television was a cameo in Meri Doli Tere Angna after which she grabbed the meaty role in Left Right Left.

We called up Shikha who expressed her happiness at being back to the daily soap scenario. "I play Payal who is a very positive character. Akash and Payal had been in love and due to certain situations, the girl could not marry him when he intended to. Now that Akash is married to Gauri, she gets back in his life. Its a misfortune for the love birds as they cannot unite as Akash is married. Akash on the other hand finds it difficult to accept Gauri as his wife as he is still in love with Payal. Basically, the audience will see the wife fighting against the other woman for her husband".

"As of now, the role as narrated to me is a long running one, but all depends on the viewers' feedback in telly soaps. So let's see. I will start shooting from tomorrow", adds the actress.

Well, Shikha's entry only means that Gauri has lot many hurdles to face in her life!!
