Hyderabad, Aug 23 (IANS) 'Yamadonga' has overtaken 'Shankar Dada Zindabad' (SDZ) at the box office. But the SDZ song 'Aakelesthe', composed by Devisri Prasad, seems to have an edge and is rocking the charts.
The top five Telugu songs are:
1. 'Aakelesthe' - Film: 'Shankar Dada Zindabad'. The song is still a chartbuster. Mamta Mohandas and Naveen have made it hummable with some terrific support from music director Devisri Prasad.
2. 'Noonoogameesalodu'- Film: 'Yamadonga'. A melodious peppy number reminiscent of an old Telugu song! Music director Keeravani sings it with Sunita.
3. 'Manasa' - Film: 'Munna'. The film came and went but the song is still popular, thanks to Harris Jayaraj's trademark music. The tuneful number with some lively beats is sung by Sadhana Sargam, Naresh Iyer, Krish, Haricharan and Kandikonda.
4. 'Yemaindhi ee vela' - Film: 'Aadavari Maatalaku Ardhale Verule'. Yuvan Shankar Raja's song continues to be on the charts even after many weeks of the film's release. Though Udit Narayan croons it well, his accent gives away and it is evident that a north Indian has sung the song.
5. 'Aata' - - Film: 'Aata' - The film didn't get good reviews, but Devisri Prasad's score is still popular. Title song 'Aata' is a foot-tapping number sung by Shankar Mahadevan and is quite popular.
