The first song from Kareena Kapoor's upcoming thriller The Buckingham Murders, titled 'Sada Pyaar Tut Gaya,' has been released, offering audiences a glimpse into the film's emotional depth and intricate storyline. Directed by Hansal Mehta, this film presents Kareena in a role inspired by Kate Winslet's performance in the HBO series Mare of Easttown. The movie, co-produced by Ektaa Kapoor, Hansal Mehta, and Kareena herself, is set in London and follows a detective's journey as she grapples with personal and professional challenges.
'Sada Pyaar Tut Gaya' highlights Kareena Kapoor's character in various emotional states, effectively capturing the essence of her inner struggles. The song's visuals depict her in different scenarios, ranging from moments of deep distress to lighter, more carefree scenes. One powerful scene shows her screaming into the night, a stark representation of her emotional turmoil. Another scene features her jogging, possibly in an attempt to clear her mind amid the chaos.
The song also takes a surprising turn as it shows Kareena enjoying a night out with friends, dancing and drinking at a club. This disco-infused scene adds an unexpected layer to the film's otherwise serious tone. Throughout the song, Kareena is seen in a de-glam look, which emphasizes the raw and real portrayal of her character as she navigates her complex emotions.
Composed and sung by Vicky Marley, the song marks the return of Bally Sagoo, who has mixed, produced, and arranged it. Devshi Khanduri’s lyrics beautifully complement the film’s emotional narrative, making 'Sada Pyaar Tut Gaya' a significant addition to the film’s soundtrack. The song not only enhances the movie’s mood but also deepens the audience's connection to Kareena's character.
The Buckingham Murders follows the story of a detective and mother, played by Kareena Kapoor, who is investigating a challenging case in London. The film, which is primarily in English with some Hindi dialogues, also features Ranveer Brar. Earlier this year, the film premiered at the BFI London Film Festival, where it received a standing ovation from the audience.
With direction by Hansal Mehta and writing by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker, The Buckingham Murders is set to captivate audiences when it releases in cinemas on September 13, 2024. The film also stars Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen, promising a gripping and emotional cinematic experience.
