Shanaya Kapoor Set to Make Her Bollywood Debut Alongside THIS actor in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan?

Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, is reportedly gearing up to make her acting debut alongside actor Vikrant Massey in the musical drama film, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which is inspired by Ruskin Bond’s short story titled The Eyes Have It. According to a report from Peeping Moon, the Starkid will be seen as a theatre artist, while the 12th Fail actor will portray a blind musician.

The storyline delves into the complexities of human relationships, encompassing compassion, resilience, independence, desire, and self-belief. A beautiful musical backdrop will enhance the emotional journey of the lead characters.

Directed by Santosh Singh, recognized for his works such as Broken But Beautiful and Apharan, the film is written by renowned writers Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla. Produced by Mansi and Varun Bagla’s Mini Films, Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan is their second collaboration with Vikrant following the Forensic remake.

Reportedly, both Shanaya and Vikrant are set to begin filming Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan in Mussoorie later this month, with additional schedules planned in Mumbai and Europe. The film is targeting a mid-2025 release, although official confirmation is still pending. This will be Shanaya’s second project following her debut Telugu-Malayalam film Vrushabha, which stars south superstar Mohanlal. Directed by Nanda Kishore, the film also features Meka Srikanth, Ramachandra Raju, Zahrah S Khan, and Ragini Dwivedi in prominent roles.

Shanaya was previously announced to make her debut with Karan Johar’s production Bedhadak, co-starring Kill actor Lakshaya and Call Me Bae actor Gurfateh Parizada. However, the project was reportedly put on hold for unknown reasons. She is also expected to appear in a Student of the Year web series produced by Dharma Productions.

On the other hand, Vikrant is currently enjoying the success of his recently released thriller film Sector 36, which also featured Deepak Dobriyal in a leading role. He will next be seen in The Sabarmati Report, which is scheduled to release in theaters on November 15. Directed by Dheeraj Sarna, the film also stars Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra in key roles. Additionally, Vikrant has Rajkumar Hirani’s debut web series lined up as well.
