Shahid Afridi brings home his first grandchild; his youngest daughter Ajwa has the best reaction

Shahid Afridi has become the youngest grandfather in the world of cricket. At 47, he has welcomed home his first grandson, Aliyaar, who is born to Shaheen Shah Afridi and his daughter Ansha. The couple got married in February 2023 and this is their first child. Shahid Afridi thanked fans via an official statement from the handle of the Pakistan Cricket Board. Shaheen Shah Afridi is a fast bowler and one of the stars of the team. He celebrated the birth of his first child during the Pakistan Vs Bangladesh match. Fans in India also like him as he had got a gift hamper for Jasprit Bumrah when the Indian fast bowler became a dad to Angad. 

Shahid Afridi has shared a video where he is holding Aliyaar as he comes home with his daughter Ansha. The boy got a blue carpet welcome. The whole house was decked with flowers, balloons and a banner to welcome Aliyaar, the first grandson of the Afridi family. The cricketer holds the little one preciously in his arms. The best reaction is from his youngest daughter Ajwa who cannot control her happiness and excitement. He says we should pray to Allah to give good health to Aliyaar. Little Ajwa saying Summa Ameen to that prayer shows how much the family is in love with the little one.

Shaheen Shah Afridi put up a post on Instagram thanking everyone for the good wishes. He wrote, “This moment changes everything! My heart is full and my life just got a whole lot better. 24/08/2024 will always be special to us. Welcome to the world my son, Aliyaar Afridi. I will forever be thankful to my wife for all the pain and sufferings she had to endure. She is literally the support system of our little family. I am grateful for all the lovely wishes and prayers coming our way. Remember my little family in your prayers.” 

It seems Shahid Afridi did not known Shaheen personally but elders in his family were closely associated with his folks. He said he wanted a man who was a good human being for his daughter. Shahid Afridi said he met that criteria with flying colours as everyone had nice things to say about him. Congratulations to the Afridi family on the arrival of new member in the family.
