Shah Rukh Khan Shares Why He Would Never Advise His Younger Self

Shah Rukh Khan, known for his unmatched charisma and sharp wit, recently captured hearts at an event in Dubai. During the Global Summit, the superstar was asked what advice he would give to his younger self if he could travel back in time. His response was as insightful as it was candid, leaving the audience thoroughly impressed.

The actor, who has spent 35 illustrious years in the entertainment industry, said he would not advise his younger self because his experiences had been instrumental in shaping him. "So when I speak with [my children], I realize that many decisions I took then, when I was 25-26, I would not take them now if I saw it through the lens of my experience," he said, referencing his son Aryan Khan (27), daughter Suhana Khan (23), and youngest son AbRam Khan (11).

Shah Rukh elaborated that those seemingly impulsive decisions were key to his journey and success. "If I hadn’t taken those decisions then, it was possible that I wouldn’t have reached where I am now," he noted.

Reflecting on his younger years, he said, “I would still want to be—sorry this is politically incorrect—brash, overconfident, bordering on arrogant, and being extremely stupid and silly, but being extremely gutsy also.” The superstar humorously added that the only advice he might give his younger self would be regarding "a better hairstyle or better-fitting suits."

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next big project, King, an action thriller directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film is particularly special as it marks his first collaboration with his daughter Suhana Khan. Both have been training for action sequences together. According to reports, the film is expected to begin production in January 2025, with a release date planned for Eid 2026.
