'Scam 2003: The Telgi Story' returns with Vol II: A tale of deceit and intrigue

Following the resounding success of its first volume, 'Scam 2003: The Telgi Story' is set to make a grand comeback with its second installment, promising to take audiences on another riveting journey through the underbelly of deception and deceit. All episodes of the series are scheduled to stream on Sony LIV starting November 3, 2023, eagerly awaited by fans who were enthralled by the captivating story of Abdul Karim Telgi in the initial volume.

The series, produced by Applause Entertainment in association with StudioNEXT, delves deep into the life of Abdul Karim Telgi, a simple fruit seller born in Khanapur, Karnataka. It explores his astonishing transformation into the mastermind behind one of India's most ingenious scams, which sent shockwaves across 18 states and had a profound impact on the entire nation.

Actor Gagan Dev Riar, who plays a pivotal role in the series, recently shared his experience of working on "Scam 2003: The Telgi Story." He mentioned that there was some nervousness and pressure due to the immense success of "Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story," which set high expectations for the series. However, working with director Hansal Mehta made the experience smoother. Hansal Mehta encouraged the cast to approach the project with authenticity, assuring them not to be overly concerned about comparisons with the previous season or Pratik Gandhi's remarkable performance in "Scam 1992."

The concept for "Scam 2003: The Telgi Story" was conceived by Hansal Mehta, inspired by the achievement of "Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story." The first part of "Scam 2003: The Telgi Story" premiered on September 1, 2023, instantly drawing audiences into the world of scams and the intriguing narrative.

The series boasts an ensemble cast that includes accomplished actors such as Sana Amin Sheikh, Bhavana Balsaver, Bharat Jadhav, J. D.
