Samantha Ruth Prabhu once revealed how Naga Chaitanya was her BFF when she had no money

While Naga Chaitanya has got engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala in August 2024 but people still cannot move on from #ChaySam. The two were one of the most adored couples in tinseltown. As we know, they met for the first time on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave which came out in 2010. A part of the film was shot in the US. When Samantha Ruth Prabhu gave an interview to Lakshmi Manchu for Feet Up With The Stars she said that Naga Chaitanya was perfect husband material. She said she he had seen her grow from zero. Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed that when they were in the US she did not have money to make a call home to her mother. It seems she used Naga Chaitanya’s phone for the same. 

At that time, both of them were seeing other people. It seems Samantha Ruth Prabhu was in a relationship with Siddharth while Naga Chaitanya was with Shruti Haasan. Their partners had also dated before. She said that his most annoying trait was that he would sleep hugging his pillow. She was quoted as saying, “Chay is married to his pillow. Even if I have to hug him, the pillow is always between us. He is going to kill me if I say more. I think I have said enough.”

The two separated in October 2021 days before their fourth wedding anniversary. No one knows what went wrong between them. Gossip suggested it was Naga Chaitanya’s closeness to Sobhita Dhulipala but his close ones said that is completely untrue. There were too many rumours about the same like how Naga Chaitanya’s family did not like her doing bold roles. Some also said that he wanted to have a family and she was not keen on the same. Friends of Samantha Ruth Prabhu said the actress had planned a long break to focus on having a child and starting a family. Nagarjuna said that his son was too depressed after his divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The actress had hinted that things were truly hostile between them for a long time.
