Yesterday morning media was flooded with news about Sohail Khan who had abused a reporter.

Reportedly, Sohail Khan lost his cool on a media person on Thursday night, when he was asked about Salman’s marriage with Iulia.

However, later in the day, the actor cleared the air and revealed his side of the story; that his anger outburst was to protect his father who was being mobbed by the media.

Last night at an event in Mumbai, when Salman was asked about the incident he retaliated: "He didn't misbehave. I don't think he will misbehave."

He also advised the media to refrain from harassing his family members, especially his parents.

"My dad is 80. You can't come and stick your mics in front of him. What if he falls? This happened with Sohail... Please don't try this stuff with me. My parents, my family, friends, especially my mother, Helen aunty and my dad.

"We are young people, you can do it with us. You wouldn't like it if we do it with your parents... Have some respect."

Putting the blame on the media, Salman said Sohail was concerned for the elders, "He (Sohail) was not abusing you. He was feeling sh*t about this situation that took place. If you guys had behaved yourself, it wouldn't have happened.”

"You guys were provoking. What is this ridiculous statement you want to find out at 12'o' clock at night about whether I want to get married or not. Media should maintain decorum."

Totally agree with him here...no one should mess with anyone's parents...

Well... that is what happens when you open 24 hour news channels and have to create probably an hour segment by 1 (hence the 12 o clock deadline). All these news channels should shut down because what they do 90% of the time is scream and have 6 people with them who scream louder against each other and nobody hears anything. Why can't we have the same old 30 min to an hour of news everyday?

But I agree. Salman is right for once. Media should really look up the definition of respect on google. <br/>

For first time..I feel salman is right and I agree with him..media takes lot of liberty and advantage of the laws.. They should know their limits and not cross them..what was need to ask such silly question when family is enjoying dinner..should respect celebrities privacy ..if they have freedom so does the celebrity

does the whole nation or world cares abt salman getting married...well i don't care whether he is married or remain bachelor whole life...why does the media cares so much...there is a limit to everything...i agree with salman...if this happen to my 80 yrs mom or dad...i would have react the same...noone in the world is important than our parents...media needs to learn some manner...for cheap news...don't stoop low

Have to agree with Bhaijaan here. Leave the old's alone at least. Asking Salim Khan at midnight when he is leaving a restaurant if his son is getting married? Know your limits media, at least leave the man's parents alone!

Reporters really deserves this. Why do they enter in some one's personal space. What will they get from doing all this nonsense. Who will like this kind of behavior with his parents not even the so called reporters who are always in greed to grab a spicy news...ridiculous

Media is ruthless... I've seen many videos where these people literally poke mics on celebs faces, even when they're holding little kids in their arms. Sure, you need to get some tid bit for your channel - but there is a certain time and place for everything.

Totally agree... What nonsense is this? Why so many questions about his marriage? It's his personal decision and what will people get from his marriage? There are other important stuff waiting to be dealt with... This is absurd...
