Salman Khan firing incident: Accused's father speaks out, calls son 'Simple Person' amid shock

Salman Khan's recent encounter with gunshots outside his Bandra residence sent shockwaves through Mumbai. The swift apprehension of the suspects, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, from Gujarat, by the Mumbai Police provided a semblance of relief. Presented before the Mumbai Killa Court, the Crime Branch secured custody of the accused until April 24, 2024.

Amidst the unfolding events, Joginder Shah, the father of Sagar Pal, expressed profound disbelief at his son's alleged involvement. Describing Sagar as a "simple person" with no prior criminal record, Shah conveyed his shock at discovering his son's connection to the incident, citing their family's humble background as laborers.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Mumbai Crime Branch said the perpetrators initially conducted a recce of the actor’s residence before opening fire.

For the unversed, to reassure Salman Khan and his family, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde visited the actor at his residence on April 16. Shinde assured heightened security measures and promised stringent action in the case, aiming to allay concerns amidst the ongoing investigation.
