Salman Khan, Atlee's film to be a reincarnation extravaganza? Actor to be seen as a warrior after Veer

Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s Jawan was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023. The movie made close to Rs 1,600 crores worldwide cementing Atlee’s position as one of the most sought-after filmmakers. He is going to make his sixth movie with Salman Khan. The filmmaker is a huge fan of Bhai and knows what kind of mayhem he can unleash with a solid script. As per reports, it will be a pan-India movie, a two-hero saga. Atlee plans to rope in Kamal Haasan or Rajinikanth in a parallel lead opposite Salman Khan. The rest of the cast is still being finalized. Atlee plans to cater to all markets with the movie. 

It seems he is planning a reincarnation action drama. The popular Salman Khan reincarnation movies are Suryavanshi (1992) and Karan Arjun (1995). While the first one is now a meme material, Karan Arjun is one of the most loved masala films of the 1990s. Atlee plans to present Salman Khan in a hitherto unseen avatar. 

A source told Pinkvilla, “Atlee has been working on a mega-budget reincarnation drama for the last one year, which is set in two distinct era’s – past and present. The filmmaker is looking to have a strong, never-seen-before period set up with breath-taking visuals of a fictional world. It’s going to be Salman Khan presented like never before in the avatar of a warrior in the period era.” 

In 2024, we saw a dystopian action movie like Kalki 2898AD that brought in concepts from the Mahabharata. It seems Atlee’s movie will be more tilted towards the period drama. That part is more packed with drama and conflict, as per the source. 

In 2025, the big Salman Khan release is Sikandar. It is directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. This two-hero epic movie will go on floors in the middle of 2025. It should release in 2026. Atlee is apparently keen to introduce a whole new world to cinema audiences. Sun Pictures will be the producer of the movie tentatively titled as A6. Salman Khan is doing a cameo in Baby John where Varun Dhawan is the main lead. It is produced by Atlee while Kalees is the filmmaker.
