After Twinkle Khanna and Karan Johar, it's writer Salim Khan who slammed Naseeruddin Shah for the remarks he made on Rajesh Khanna.

Recently in an interview veteran and versatile actor Naseeruddin Shah called Rajesh Khanna a 'limited and poor actor'. He also commented that after Khanna entered film industry 'star power' overcame the story of the film, script, acting and music. But his comments saddened everyone from the fraternity as well as Rajesh Khanna's fans!

Salman Khan's father, writer, Salim Khan also expressed his disappointment via tweets!

Although Naseeruddin Shah has apologized for his comments saying, "I apologise to those who were personally offended, and my intention was not to attack him (Rajesh Khanna)."(sic)

Rajesh khanna may not be genius but was a good actor. His dialogue delivery was unbeatable ! Nobody can survive for that long without talent ! People loved him for his mannerism and which all directors and producers must have always added for that reason. From ittefaq to anand , amar prem , aavishkar , khamoshi and so on. ... He did show his acting talent. To call him mediocre by such a talented person like nassiruddin shah is very sad and shows his arrogance. He also once had called amitabh bachchan without talent. And now we can see where mr. Bachchan is and where mr. Shah is !!! This is not opinion in general. He attacked a superstar and a fine actor.

I am not sure what crime NS did. He merely voiced his opinion. I have not seen many of Khanna's films but have seen most of his hits to comment here. Khanna has been lucky to get good stories. I would also says that the film songs contributed a great deal to the success of his films. In my opinion Khanna was not a good actor but one could call him a Star due to his fan following. I also remember reading that the films made in the 80s (which had more violence in them) brought in the trend of poor quality music to films. So is Amitabh and all those angry heroes raking up a storm? Twinkle voiced her opinion. I am not sure why NS had to apologise. To be honest before preaching to the world Salim Khan should do some introspection. He, including his kith and kin are no saints.

Rajesh Khanna may be first super star, but he cannot be a called as a great actor. there is a lot of difference between being a star and actor.
I watched almost all imp Rajesh Khanna's movies, i agree with Naseeruddin shah.
May be Rajesh Khanna was not offered meaningful roles other than romantic type roles. that can be a reason.

rajesh khannna was the first superstar of indian cinema and at that time they didnt have preferences of money over talent ! so calling him a poor actor is really petty of Nasseer
