Ranveer Singh opens about Deepika & their baby girl: 'Singham Again' marks the debut of baby Simmba

Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh made a grand entrance at the trailer launch event of the highly-anticipated film Singham Again on Monday in Mumbai. The actor arrived with his signature energy, greeting photographers warmly and joining the star-studded cast, including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Deepika Padukone. However, it wasn’t just the film’s trailer that stole the spotlight — Ranveer shared an exciting personal revelation during the event.

Speaking to the audience, Ranveer proudly announced that Singham Again would mark the on-screen debut of their newborn daughter. "This film will feature Lady Singham, Baby Singham, and Simmba," Ranveer said with a smile, referring to his wife Deepika Padukone, their baby girl, and his own character in the cop universe. He added that Deepika was pregnant while filming, making their daughter's presence felt during the shoot.

The couple, who have been married for six years, welcomed their first child, a daughter, on September 8, 2024. While Deepika skipped the trailer launch to stay home with their little one, Ranveer's sweet gesture for his wife melted hearts. As he posed in front of a giant poster featuring the ensemble cast, he couldn’t help but gush over Deepika's image. With a wide smile, he kissed her on the poster, showcasing his admiration and love.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again is the third installment of the successful Singham franchise, which first began in 2011. Known for his larger-than-life action spectacles, Shetty has brought back his beloved cop universe with a Ramayan-inspired twist. In this film, Ajay Devgn's Bajirao Singham assembles a team of super cops, including Ranveer’s Simmba, Deepika’s Lady Singham, and Tiger Shroff, to take down a ruthless villain played by Arjun Kapoor.

The newly-released trailer promises an exciting mix of action, drama, and humor, packed with stunning visuals and memorable dialogues that have made the franchise a fan favorite. Slated for release on November 1, 2024, Singham Again is set to clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, adding to the excitement surrounding this Diwali.
