Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar reportedly engaged to business heiress Saaniya Chandok

Arjun Tendulkar, cricketer and son of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, is reportedly engaged to Saaniya Chandok, the granddaughter of prominent Mumbai-based businessman Ravi Ghai. The news was first reported by India Today.

According to the report, the engagement ceremony was held in private, with only close friends and family members from both sides in attendance. Neither the Tendulkar nor the Ghai family has issued an official statement confirming the engagement so far.

Saaniya Chandok hails from a well-known business family. The Ghai family has significant interests in the hospitality and food industries, including ownership of the InterContinental Hotel and the Brooklyn Creamery brand. While Saaniya has maintained a low public profile, she is known to be a Designated Partner and Director at Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP, a Mumbai-based pet care venture.

Arjun Tendulkar, 25, is a left-arm fast bowler who has followed a different cricketing path from his father. Although he has yet to make his international debut for India, he has represented Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, playing five matches and claiming three wickets.

His domestic cricket journey began with Mumbai in the 2020–21 season, debuting in a T20 match against Haryana. Before that, he featured at the junior level for Mumbai and was part of India’s Under-19 setup.

In the 2022–23 season, Arjun moved to Goa in search of more opportunities. There, he made his First-Class and List A debuts. So far, he has played 17 First-Class matches, taking 37 wickets including a five-wicket haul and scoring 532 runs, with one century and two half-centuries to his name. In List A cricket, he has 25 wickets from 18 matches, along with 102 runs.

While the reported engagement has sparked curiosity among fans, both families have kept the occasion away from the public eye. For now, neither has shared details or photographs from the ceremony, keeping the focus on a personal milestone rather than a public celebration.
