Rupali Ganguly gets support from Anupamaa producer Rajan Shahi's ex-wife Pearl Grey; says, If she was a child

Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly has sent a defamation notice of Rs 50 crores to Esha Verma, who is the daughter of her husband Ashwin K Verma and his first wife, Sapna. This happened after she put out posts highlighting how Rupali Ganguly was responsible for the ruin of her parents’ marriage. She also said she was responsible for the kind of neglect her sister and she faced growing up as kids. A lot of people trolled Rupali Ganguly on social media saying her real face seemed a lot worse than what people saw on screen as Anupamaa. 

Now, Rajan Shahi’s ex-wife TV producer Pearl Grey has come out in support of the actress. She said that their daughter Ishika also had to go through the pain of her parents’ separation, but she knows she has two loving homes. Pearl Grey said that whatever Esha Verma said might be coming from a space of pain and abandonment but there was no need to make things so dirty. 

She told Times Now that she feels this is common in homes where children find it tough to accept that their father has found someone new in his life. Pearl Grey said if a child or teen said all this, it would mean that she is in deep pain. However, Esha Verma is an adult. 

However, one shouldn't say all such things in public when they are of an age where they have brains. If she was a child then it would have been understandable but she is not. If your dad is happy with someone then you should accept that. This should also remain within the confines of your own family rather than going public.

Rupali Ganguly is the face of Rajan Shahi’s blockbuster show Anupamaa. The TV actress is not new to controversies. Pearl Grey said that while Rupali and she are not besties, they do meet one another warmly. She said she has not spoken about this, given how private and sensitive the whole matter is. She said Rupali Ganguly is a strong woman and has handled all this with a lot of grace. The legal suit was filed after Esha Verma said that Rudransh was an illegitimate child. She later apologized for the same.
