Actor Romiit Raaj who is winning the audience’s heart with his captivating performance as Rohit in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, believes that being a man is more than just fulfilling societal expectations—it’s about standing by your family, owning up to your mistakes, and spreading love. On the occasion of International Men’s Day celebrated on November 18, Romiit shared his views on what defines true manhood.
“There’s definitely more awareness about Men’s Day now, and I think that’s a good thing,” Romiit says. “For me, a man is a real man when he stands by his family, makes them feel secure, loved, and cared for. It’s about taking up responsibilities and admitting when you’re wrong. That’s strength.”
Romiit doesn’t shy away from expressing his emotions, something he feels is often overlooked when defining masculinity. “I’m a very expressive person. I love to show my love to the people who matter to me. At the end of the day, it’s all about spreading happiness and good vibes.”
The actor also reflected on resilience as a key part of his life journey. “Life is going to knock you down, but being a man is about getting back up, fighting through the struggles, and surviving. That’s what makes you stronger,” he says.
Romiit credits his father as his biggest inspiration, a man who embodied the qualities he strives to live by. “My dad was an incredible son who took care of his parents, an amazing father who gave us beautiful childhood memories, and a wonderful husband who always went above and beyond. He showed me what it means to truly be there for the people you love.”
In a world where conversations about masculinity are evolving, Romiit Raaj’s words serve as a refreshing reminder of what truly matters—strength, love, and responsibility. This Men’s Day, he encourages everyone to reflect on the values that make us better individuals and, in turn, better men.
