Bollywood's ace filmmaker Rohit Shetty crossed the Rs. 200 crore with the latest release of film Simmba. Since then, the filmmaker has been basking in the success. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles.
However, Rohit Shetty opened up about rumors of his tiff with superstar Shah Rukh Khan in a recent interview. According to the reports, the filmmaker and Shah Rukh Khan have fallen out after Dilwale underperformed at the box office. The actor-director duo worked together in Dilwale that starred Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Kajol. The duo also worked for Chennai Express.
During a recent media interaction talking about the controversy, Rohit said, "Not really. No, actually you know what happens is on a technical basis people don't realize, if you see the titles of Simmba, the colour, the DI (of the film) everything has happened at Red Chillies where Zero was also being worked, and that is Shah Rukh's company."
He added, "So, agar aisa kuch hoga (his alleged fight with SRK) then why would I work there. There's nothing like that. Nothing. It's just that we've not done a film together toh abhi yeh ho gaya ki jhagda ho gaya hai. That happens."
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan's next film is the Rakesh Sharma biopic, Saare Jahaan Se Achha.
On the other hand, Akshay Kumar will collaborate with Rohit Shetty for the first time with the film that will go on floors in April.
