Rohed Khan made a striking debut alongside Kangana Ranaut in Tejas last year. Now, he is gearing up for another action-packed outing with the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (BMCM). While there was much anticipation around Rohed’s character, turns out it has all been worth it as the actor will be pitted against the duo of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff as the film’s villain.

Elated about this new role and teaming up with Akshay and Tiger, Rohed is actually the most excited about the opportunity that he got to work with Ali. And it has quite a fascinating story behind it. It all started in 2018 when Ali was shooting with Salman Khan for Tiger Zinda Hai in Austria, where Rohed met the director for the first time.

Sharing details of that encounter, Rohed reminisces, “I managed to track down the hotel where Salman sir was staying in and, by some stroke of luck, I found myself face to face with him. I expressed my admiration for him and seized the chance to introduce myself to Ali sir.” On meeting Ali, the actor made a prediction. “I told him I am an actor and one day we will be working together. Ali sir's smile was encouraging as he shook my hand before departing,” Rohed recalls, expressing that he couldn’t have imagined at that time that his words would come true so soon.

Rohed’s first opportunity to work with the filmmaker came with Detective Sherdil, a project produced by Ali. And now he is working as the villain in Ali’s directorial BMCM. When Rohed crossed paths with Ali again, he reminded about their encounter in Austria. “To my delight, Ali sir acknowledged it fondly. To think that I had manifested the opportunity to work with him in 2018, and by 2022, I was standing on set alongside him—it was a surreal experience,” he says.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is all set for an Eid 2024 release in April and features an ensemble cast including Akshay, Tiger, Rohed, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chillar and Alaya F. Rohed also has Detective Sherdil alongside Diljit Dosanjh in the pipeline. He is reportedly a part of Ibrahim Ali Khan's debut film Sarzameen as well.
