Imtiaz Ali, the Bollywood director guy, has teamed up with many B-town celebs over the years. So, he's got the lowdown on what makes each star stand out. Recently, he showered compliments on Ranbir Kapoor, saying he's got that perfect blend of artistic flair and technical skill.
In a rapid-fire chat with Buzzzooka Events, the director got quizzed about a Bollywood actor who's a pro at acting and has a knack for filmmaking, someone who even assists Ali behind the camera. Responding to this, the Rockstar helmer said, “Ranbir Kapoor me both acha mixture hai in dono cheezon ka, technique bhi usko boht innately aati hai. Magar, instinctive bhi hai vo. (Ranbir Kapoor has a good mix of both in him. Moreover, he knows the technique innately and he is instinctive too.) So, I think he’s a very good mix of both.”
It's not just the Amar Singh Chamkila director who's all about the Animal star. In a chat with Pinkvilla, the famous casting guy Mukesh Chhabra also gave props to Kapoor for shining bright in the internet age without any official social media accounts. Hailing Ranbir as ‘Number 1’, the Dil Bechara helmer told, “I think vo jo Ranbir Kapoor ka charm hai na vo jo ek hai na vo log usko dekhne ke liye pagal hain jo tadapte hain jab uski film aati hai, I think vo Ranbir Kapoor jo hai in that order he is the number 1 (Ranbir Kapoor’s charm that people go crazy about him when his film releases and yearn for him, in that order he is the number 1).”
Ranbir Kapoor made his acting debut alongside Sonam Kapoor in the flick Saawariya way back in 2007. Since then, he's shown his acting chops in many hit movies. Last year, he charmed us as a romantic guy in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar with Shraddha Kapoor, followed by a darker role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal. Currently, he's all tied up filming Nitesh Tiwari's new film, Ramayana, alongside Sai Pallavi and Yash.
