Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor says he is too "harsh" and "critical" as an actor and that's why when it comes to praising the work of his son and actor Ranbir Kapoor, he uses the same methodology on him.
Asked about the best movie of his son, during a question and answer session with fans on Twitter, Rishi replied: "Generally, I don't like him as I am too critical and harsh but he was decent in 'Barfi!' and 'Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year'."
When it comes to his own work, he maintains the same rule. When a fan asked about his favourite movie after the 1980 thriller "Karz", the 63-year-old replied: "'Karz' was no great work. Just stylized. Ghai's best. Great music and Joie de vivre! Simi and Tina were to die for."
However, he added that the 1982 film "Prem Rog", which was directed by his father Raj Kapoor, is one of his memorable films.
"'Prem Rog' is perhaps one memorable film I got to do. Was tough to play an introvert rebellious with the system," he wrote.
The "Do Dooni Chaar" star also recalled his childhood days when yesteryear actresses Madhubala and Meena Kumari used to visit their house on Diwali.
Asked whether he has any memories or stories to share about Madhubala and Meena Kumari, Rishi said: "When I was very young, they often visited our house for Diwali etc... How unfortunate I was not realising their worth."
On the career front, he will next be seen in "Kapoor & Sons".
