Posting a joint statement on Instagram, Remo and Lizelle expressed their disappointment with the reports. "We have seen media reports about a complaint of fraud involving a dance troupe. It’s disheartening that such information has been circulated. We request everyone to refrain from spreading rumors without verifying the facts," they wrote.

They also assured that they would share their side of the story soon. "We will present our case in due course and will fully cooperate with the authorities as we have always done. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their love and support," the couple added.

As per PTI, a 26-year-old dancer lodged the complaint, leading to a case against Remo, Lizelle, and five others. The complaint was registered at Mira Road police station, Maharashtra, on October 16 under various sections, including 465 (forgery) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code.

The complainant stated that his dance troupe was allegedly cheated between 2018 and July 2024. He claimed that after winning a reality TV show, Remo and others falsely claimed ownership of the troupe and took the prize money of Rs 11.96 crore. The investigation is ongoing.
