Banu recollected an instance when Khanna had to rehearse for a film called "Aarop" alongside her and Johnny Walker. However, he initially "absconded" from the rehearsal, and it was during this period that Banu was accompanied by Dilip Kumar. Later, Khanna confessed that he couldn't bring himself to act in front of the iconic Dilip Kumar.
Saira Banu also shared another endearing anecdote about Vinod Khanna's considerate nature. She highlighted how Khanna always prioritized the comfort and safety of the women on set. On one occasion, Banu had sent her car home for an important task, and the director, Atmaram, wrapped up the shoot much earlier than expected.
Observing that Banu's car hadn't arrived, Khanna offered his own perky Volkswagen to ensure she got home safely. Banu initially hesitated, remarking on the size of her luggage compared to Khanna's small car, but he insisted on waiting until her car arrived. She fondly remembered him as a truly chivalrous gentleman.
