Ranvir Shorey's dad KD Shorey passes away at 92; actor pens a touching note
Ranvir Shorey tweeted that his father, who was 92 years old, passed away on Friday night. Further, Ranvir described him as his "biggest source of inspiration and protection."

Actor Ranvir Shorey announced his father and filmmaker KD Shorey's death on Twitter on Saturday afternoon. The actor tweeted that his father, who was 92 years old, passed away on Friday night. Further, Ranvir described him as his "biggest source of inspiration and protection."
He shared a smiling picture of his father and wrote, "My beloved father, Krishan Dev Shorey, passed away peacefully last night at the ripe old age of 92, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind wonderful memories and many admirers. I have lost my greatest source of inspiration and protection."
Soon after he shared the post, his fans and friends were seen offering condolences. Filmmaker Manish Mundra wrote, "🙏🙏ॐ शान्ति." Gulshan Devaiah wrote, "Hugs & condolences paaji." Kubbra Sait dropped a palms-up emoji. Raj Nayak commented, "Sorry about your loss Ranvir. May his soul rest in peace. 🙏" Gajraj Rao dropped folded hands emojis.
Under his production company KDS pictures, KD Shorey made a number of movies in the 1980s and 1990s. Among his most well-known works are Zinda Dil, Bad Aur Badnam, and Be-Reham. The 1998 movie Maha Yuddh, starring Gulshan Grover, Kader Khan, and Mukesh Khanna, was also directed by KD Shorey.
In a message on his father's 90th birthday in 2020, Ranvir discussed his difficulties. Ranvir had written, “My father, Krishan Dev Shorey, turned 90 today. He has survived poverty, Bollywood, and cancer. He’s one of the toughest guys I know. Happy Birthday, Pops.”
Meanwhile, Ranveer Shorey has a bunch of projects in the kitty. He will next be seen in the film Tiger 3 along with Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi.
