Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal made a joint appearance in Mumbai for the screening of Mera Desh Pehle: The Untold Story Of Shri Narendra Modi. Both arrived at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in black suits, posing together for the cameras before heading inside.
The musical saga traces the Prime Minister’s journey from childhood to political leadership. The event was conceptualised by lyricist and writer Manoj Muntashir, who described it as a narrative of “challenging” phases and “extraordinary” leadership.
Several film personalities attended the screening, including Janhvi Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, Raveena Tandon, Rajkumar Hirani, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala. While Alia Bhatt could not be present, her upcoming collaboration with Ranbir and Vicky in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War remained a point of excitement for fans.

Directed by Bhansali, Love and War will see Ranbir and Vicky portraying Indian Air Force pilots. The project has been under production in Rajasthan for most of the year. In July, Bhansali reportedly prepared for a large-scale climax sequence featuring both leads, with insiders describing it as one of the most ambitious set pieces attempted in Indian cinema. The film also stars Alia Bhatt in a central role. It is scheduled to release in theatres on 20 March 2026.
The two actors previously shared screen space in Sanju (2018), the biopic on Sanjay Dutt directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Vicky was last seen in Chhaava, while Ranbir’s most recent appearance was in Animal.
Apart from Love and War, Ranbir is working on Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The two-part epic casts him as Ram, with Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita. The film also features Sunny Deol, Amitabh Bachchan, and Ravi Dubey, with music by Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman. It is slated for release during Diwali 2026.
For now, the joint appearance of Ranbir and Vicky at the NMACC has only heightened anticipation for their on-screen face-off in Bhansali’s upcoming drama.
