'Rambo': Janhvi Kapoor joins Tiger Shroff in high-flying remake of Siddharth Anand's venture

Siddharth Anand's much-anticipated Indian adaptation of the iconic Hollywood classic, Rambo, has been a project in the making for the past six years. After multiple delays and setbacks, the grand-scale action drama is finally taking shape, and now new details about the project have come out. 

Back in 2017, the ambitious 'Rambo' remake was officially announced, with Tiger Shroff stepping into the shoes of the legendary action hero. Over the years, the project encountered various obstacles, causing delays. However, it seems that the long wait will soon be over, and fans can rejoice as we unveil a significant development – the stunning Janhvi Kapoor has been cast as the leading lady opposite Tiger Shroff in this much-anticipated adaptation.

Janhvi Kapoor is set to essay a pivotal role in this Rohit Dhawan-directed action extravaganza, marking her first on-screen collaboration with Tiger. While details about her character in Rambo remain shrouded in secrecy, sources close to the project reveal that her role is integral to the storyline, adding an intriguing dimension to the film.

Earlier, they were slated to collaborate for Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and Jagan Shakti's untitled action thriller. Unfortunately, these projects fell through due to scheduling conflicts. However, their partnership in the Rambo remake promises to deliver a fresh and exciting dynamic.

Scheduled to commence filming in January 2024, the Rambo remake is gearing up for a shoot of epic proportions, with a significant portion taking place across Europe. Producer Siddharth Anand and director Rohit Dhawan are dedicated to crafting a character that embodies the essence of a true Indian action hero.

Before diving into this exciting project, both Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor will fulfill their existing commitments. Tiger has already wrapped up filming for 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and 'Ganapath Part 1' and is set to resume work on Jagan Shakti's action-packed thriller alongside Sara Ali Khan. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor has completed shooting for Dharma Productions' 'Mr. & Mrs. Mahi' and Junglee Pictures' espionage thriller, 'Ulajh,' with Jr. NTR's 'Devara' also on her horizon.
