Chetan Desai and his team of Maya Entertainment brings the epic love story in its most swell-designed way...

"Ram ne raavan ko maara"…Is your little one still listening to that age old one liner? Ramayana- The Epic is all set to relive the saga of Ram and his dramatic triumph over the ten-headed Raavan. And this time, you will travel down the lanes of history and witness the Ramayana in 3D- all set with action, drama and more.

The movie captures the story of Ramayana right from Ram's fourteen years of vanvas to the epic battle with Raavan.

The movie begins with the narration of the life of King Dasaratha. This tale gently blends into the life of Ram and the tales of his valor. The narrative is seamlessly taken over by Lakshman through a flashback being retold to Hanuman. Till the intermission, the movie is shown through the eyes of Lakshman and then onwards, the plot moves into the present.

There are various aspects in the movie that would grab the attention of children. The introduction of the Vanarasena would be one of the most memorable scenes in the movie for tiny tots. The song and its execution reminds you of the'I like to move it' track of Madagascar and the action sequences remind the techniques of movies like Transporter and Avatar.

The visual effects being the prominent feature of the film bewitches you with the larger than life purview of Lanka and Ayodhya and the huge army of Ram and Raavan.

Have you seen Pushpak Viman in its form with glowing wheels, a telescope in the archaic style with two gems through which Raavan eyed the proceedings of Ram? If no, then watch Ramayana, The Epic. Ramayana, The epic experiments in its own way the redefining of the epic and its characters. There is a Ram with six-pack, Bali who lands like a superhero from his palace a top of a huge rock in Kishkinta, Jatayu who has a hefty physique and various other interesting characters.

The dialogues vary from too complex at times to very simple lines. The voice of Manoj Bajpai and Juhi Chawla for the characters of Ram and Sita felt elderly and seemed a misfit. But, at the same time Raavan rocked with Ashuthosh Rana's voice while the devotion of Hanuman reflected well with the voice of Mukesh Rishi.

Even with constraints of time and pressure, this movie touches all the important aspects of the epic and describes its prominent characters. Watching this movie is a good way to learn Ramayan in its elementary form.

Chetan Desai with his team of Maya Entertainment has brought us the epic in its most stylish manner. The first big budget 3D movie exhibits the talent of the creative minds in India opening up horizons for new comers in the world of animation.

Take your little ones for the movie and show them this evergreen story of Ram, Sita and Raavan in its most swell-designed way.
