Rakul Preet Singh eyes Telugu cinema return: I really miss my Telugu fans

Rakul Preet Singh, who made her Bollywood debut with "Yaariyan," is currently riding high with several upcoming projects. However, she recently hinted at a return to Telugu cinema, much to the delight of her fans. In an Instagram story, the actress dropped clues about an exciting new venture down South.

During a recent Ask Me Anything (AMA) session, Rakul shared her enthusiasm for Telugu films, revealing that she's been reading scripts. She expressed, 

"I really miss all my Telugu fans, and I really want to do a Telugu film soon. I'm just waiting for the right script, maybe something that's exciting because I feel the part of me, which is the Telugu Ammai, is really missing Telugu now, so hopefully soon. I'm reading a couple of things, hopefully soon."

Rakul has an impressive filmography in the South Indian film industry. She has starred in notable Telugu films like "Venkatadri Express," "Loukyam," "Pandaga Chesko," "Sarrainodu," "Dhruva," and "Nannaku Prematho." Additionally, she has made a mark in Tamil cinema with films like "Thadaiyara Thaakka." Her remarkable acting and success have made her a well-known name in the industry.

Talking about her upcoming projects she will be seen in "Indian 2," starring the legendary Kamal Haasan. She is also set to appear in "De De Pyaar De 2," following the success of the first installment. Additionally, her next film, "Mere Husband Ki Biwi," is slated for release after "De De Pyaar De 2" and "Indian 2." Fans can also look forward to "Ameeri," an intense drama that adds to her diverse lineup of films.
