Rajkumar Hirani's latest update on Munnabhai 3 will get you excited

Rajkumar Hirani is renowned for his impressive track record of hits, yet one of his most beloved works remains the 'Munna Bhai' franchise. Featuring Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, the series has achieved cult status among fans. Recently, at a Mumbai event, Hirani teased audiences with updates on the next chapter of this iconic series.

Recently speaking about the same in an open forum with the audiences he  disclosed that he is juggling multiple projects related to 'Munna Bhai'. “I have five half-finished scripts for 'Munna Bhai'. I spent six months on a script, got to the interval, and then it just wouldn’t move forward. There’s 'Munna Bhai LLB', 'Munna Bhai Chal Base', 'Munna Bhai Chale Amreeka', and more." He also acknowledged the challenge of creating the next story, adding, "The most important factor is that the next instalment has to be better than the previous films. But now, I have a unique idea. Of course, over 100 years of cinema, everything has been said. But yeah, I’m working on that idea.”

Hirani hunourously added  by mentioning Sanjay Dutt’s eagerness to return to the role, joking, “I think Sanju might just come to my house and threaten me to finish the next film. He’s really passionate about making another 'Munna Bhai' movie.” On a more serious note, he assured fans that he is “seriously” considering the next installment.

In the meantime, Hirani is garnering acclaim for his latest film, 'Dunki', which stars Shah Rukh Khan alongside Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Anil Grover, and Vikram Kochhar. 'Dunki' tackles the pressing issue of immigration, with its title referencing the term "donkey journey," which describes the perilous routes many take to migrate. The film was released on December 21 and has performed decently at the box office.
