"Shani has changed my life a lot" - Kartikey Malviya

Actor Kartikey Malviya, who is known for his role of Shani in Siddharth Kumar Tewary's Karamphaldata Shani, says that the show has transformed his life. "Karamphaldata Shani has changed my life a lot. I have learned a lot here and it was because of this show that people noticed my acting and appreciated it. Not only this, I got two awards (Golden Petal and Gold) for my first show itself. I also got a nomination in ITA as well. So in a way, Karamphaldata Shani has boosted my career growth and the credit for the same goes to Siddharth Sir," he says.

Ask him what he enjoyed the most, and he says, "This show is special because of Siddharth Sir. Swastik has done many shows but I feel that Karamphaldata Shani is Siddharth Sir's soul. My house, my school, my playground, all of it has been on the sets, so being on the sets was fun."

In fact, his character has taught him a lot. "He (the character) taught me to work hard and honestly. Respect and love your parents because they have sacrificed a lot for you and they will never leave your side. This is what I have learned from this show," he says.

The show is undergoing a time leap and Kartikey won't be part of it anymore. "I will miss everyone from the sets, be it my makeup dada, dress dada, spot dada and the whole team which includes the cinematographers, my directors, the creative team and Tahir sir, Amol sir from the production team. I wouldn't have been Shani without them," he says, adding, "18th October is my last working day. I want to say a big thank you to all my cast as well as everyone from the sets.. My special regards also goes to Salil sir, Juhi Ma'am, Kunal Bhaiyya, Zohaib Bhaiyya, Tinu Sir, Gufi Sir, Tarun Sir, Pundrig Sir, Amardeep Sir, Snigdha didi and the whole of the baccha party. It is because of them that I could shoot so smoothly for 14 months. I also want to thank Ria (Ankola) Aunty especially. It is because of all of them that I never felt homesick."

Kartikey plans to take some time off. "There are no future plans as such, I will rest for some days," he says.
