Do you remember Sukhmani Sadana? The girl who was seen in seen in Sony TV's crime series Khhote Sikkey went missing after her stint and is now back with something unique in her kitty.Â
The lass will now be seen in Sony LIV's upcoming digital presentation #Lovebytes as Ananya Singh. Let us find out the reason behind her opting to do this show and why she never took up a daily soap!
Sukhmani said, "I play a 26-year old girl from Lucknow who has been working in Mumbai for the last 6 years. Simple, not very social and rather homely, Ananya is possessive and doesn't quite understand or appreciate all the female attention her boyfriend gets."
Mentioning what prompted her to take up this show, she added, "I did Khotey Sikkey on Sony TV and I am not keen on doing fiction drama shows on television as I find them regressive. If I cannot relate to my character I would not be able to justify it. When I was approached for this show and was asked to audition, the things I made sure were the concept and story line. These are real and I can relate to. I have always been choosy about what I have to essay. I cannot do something just for fame and money. This web series will be shot just like a TV show and would be promoted in the same way. I do not think there could be any better platform to stage my talent."
Hmm...
Given the fact that this show is a web series, we questioned her on the response she thinks the show will generate.
The actor averred, "I think the target group, the youth we are aiming to cater to will love this show as they are not interested in family dramas. The youth watches a lot of English shows on television, but more than that, they are extremely active on the web browsing."
Well said, Sukhmani!
