Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun, Sukumar's movie needs to make THIS much to break even with KGF 2 and RRR

This Diwali, it is Singham Again Vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at the box office. Post that, all eyes are on Pushpa 2 or Pushpa - The Rule. Allu Arjun and Sukumar are back with the sequel of the 2021 hit as Pushpa and Inspector SP Bhanwar Singh battle it out. Pushpa 2 has done huge pre-release business, which is supposed to be the biggest ever for an Indian movie. It has made Rs 1,065 crores already. Pushpa 2 has been sold to satellite and OTT for a staggering sum. The movie has been sold to the North India market for Rs 200 crore, which is the highest for any South Indian movie. 

The film has to make more than Rs 1,200 crores at the box office to make any profits for distributors. The makers have already covered the costs of production with the sale of various rights. Pushpa 2 is very expensive venture. The movie had an extended shooting schedule as Sukumar kept on reworking on the plot. The filmmaker kept the sets at Ramoji Film City for months as the climax was undecided. This added up costs for the producers. In between, reports came of a rift between Allu Arjun and Sukumar.

It seems the superstar was upset with how Sukumar kept on delaying the project. He went off on a holiday with his family. Later, when Sukumar was on a break, he came back to Hyderabad. Fans also saw that he had trimmed his beard, the typical Pushpa one. His team said such gossip was untrue. They said Pushpa will graduate from a smuggler to a don in the movie so he will have a more polished look. The pre release business of Pushpa 2 in Kerala is the best for any Telugu movie. Allu Arjun has a huge fan base in North India too.
