Priyamani on why she did not do dance numbers post 'Chennai Express'

It wouldn't be unfair to say that actor Priyamani is a household name owing to her role of Suchi in The Family Man franchise. But for the Bollywood lovers, they would easily remember her for the energetic and super hit dance number '1,2,34 Get on the Dance Floor' in the film Chennai Express where she performed with superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

However, she was never to be seen in any dance number post that. Talking about why she refused to feature in any dance song after SRK's film to a website, the actor said that she didn't want to keep doing the same thing all the time. Priyamani added that she knows the song did well, and even today, it is being played on various occasions.

She further added that she wanted to make a name in Bollywood as well and not just as one who can do song and dance. The actor concluded by saying that her decision not to take up any special numbers was 'good'.

Apart from The Family Man, Priyamani will next be seen in Bhama Kalapam, Virata Parvam and Maidaan.
