Women from all walks of life, no matter where they come from, what their race, religion or age is, have toiled the soil throughout their living years by being a daughter, sister, mother or even grandmother. Hence, for the Month celebrates all things women, BollyCurry brings to you a mix of various songs that reflect he female species from all perspectives, and in no particular order.
Tu Hi Tu (Star Plus Anthem)
One of the most awe-worthy tracks by Indian Television's leading
channel, Star Plus, promoting the importance of women through their
anthem. Master Saleem lent his fluent voice for the track, while
mastermind Vishal Bhardwaj composed the music. This track is
deeply inspiring for women. It consists of praises about how there are
various avatars of women, and if a women makes up her mind, she can go
to any extent to get her work done.
Hum Toh Aisse Hain Bhaiyya (Laaga Chunari Mein Daag - Journey of a Woman)
A rather fun-filled song in the vocals of the talented beauty,
Shreya Ghoshal. This song is joyously shot in the centre of Banaras,
portraying the vision of relaxed and happy women belonging to the small
towns of India. This track focuses on equality between every individual,
and how women living in outskirts also enjoy and laugh as much the ones
in the urban towns. The song is a treat to watch for all the
adventurous girls out there.
Mere Ghar Aayi Aik Nanhi Pari (Kabhi Kabhi)
The birth of a daughter marks a celebration to mankind. Women often
say that a girl is born to sacrifice and be sacrificed, which is the
ultimate reason of her upgraded status in this world. That happy and
joyous expression of a mother and a father seeing their little baby girl
grow up is what this track has to give it's listeners. It's
a wonderful bond being portrayed between parents and a daughter. If you
are a growing woman, this song will definitely touch your heart.
Ek Hockey Doongi Main Rakh Ke (Chak De India)
An enthusiastic and absurd track, filled with high and low pitches
yet so gripping. Hope is the only word these women are entitled to, even
when the ray of light is so far away - they are still apt to work and
move out of the darkness. Although all the girls pitch in their voices
in this track, it is only through Jaideep Sahni's composition and
confidence that this song made it to the mark. You are encouraged to
listen to it when you want to win over something in a rough yet tough
manner.
Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka (Hare Rama Hare Krishna)
Don't all of us just feel fascinated seeing the bond between
siblings? Every child who has siblings goes through this phase, whether
it's between a brother and sister or merely two sisters, the bond is
just inseparable. This song received a lot of acclaim and recognition
after the lyrics touched the listener's hearts. Indeed the blood
connection between siblings goes a long mile. This track comes in the
vocals of two legendary singers of the Hindi cinema: Kishore Kumar and
Asha Bhosle. These two big names already tell you that this track is not
to be missed out on, if you haven't got your hand on it yet.
These are not the only songs that are in our recommendation.
While you tune in to them, we at BollyCurry gear up the second part with
yet another collection of classic songs dedicated to women. Here's
BollyCurry signing off only to be back soon. Keep calm and watch this
