Poetry is a form of writing where a poet expresses his thoughts in an aesthetic and rhythmic language. From William Shakespeare to Ernest Hemingway, poets have put their heart and soul describing their feelings through the art of wordplay. Poems provide poets with creative freedom, where they can weave a world of their thoughts and where sky's the limit.

As they say, everyone can write but only a few can write a poem.

 On the occasion of the poet's day, which is observed on 21st August every year, we have compiled a list of actors who have a heart for poems and loves to write.

Her Instagram account is proof that how beautiful she writes. She has read her poems in various literature and poetry festivals. 

Ridhi Dogra

Actress Ridhi is known for a fantastic performance in Maryada Lekin Kab Tak. Apart from acting, she has a love for poems and write-ups. The actress is super active on social media and often shares motivational quotes but little did we know that she is a poet too. A few months back, Ridhi shared a picture of hers on Instagram and captioned it with a beautiful poem written by her and titled as ‘That day I wore the Red dress’.

Arunoday Singh

Actor Arunoday Singh who was seen in ALT Balaji’s Apaharan is fond of writing poems and shayaris. His Instagram is filled with his writing pieces.

Kubbra Sait

Sacred Games fame Kubbra Sait who was last seen in Zee5’s Rejectx is a poet too. She recently gave a motivational speech about success and fame. She also participated in Spoken Fest.

Shaheer Shaikh

Television actor Shaheer Shaikh who is known for his works in shows like Mahabharat, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi and Navya often shares beautiful pieces on his social media.

Priya Mallik

Bigg Boss fame Priya Mallik is a poet too and recently her poem on feminism went viral on the internet.
