Talented actress Simpy Singh, who is currently essaying the role of Vibha on Zee TV's popular show Satrangi Sasural, started off her acting career with Punjabi movies and now she is enjoying her debut on television with this show and she is looking forward to do more of television in future as well.
In a conversation with TellyBuzz, Simpy shares more about her association with the show, her experience of essaying a negative role and her future plans.
Talking about her association with the show so far, Simpy told us, "Its been a good association with the show so far. Though we don't get much time to mingle on sets but we all share a good bonding with each other. Everybody is professional here. I have done Punjabi movies only before this show. Their schedule is different from television and comparatively, serial life is much tougher. I feel lucky that its been just two months that I shifted from Chandigarh to Mumbai and I got a show and movies as well."
So, why did Simpy prefer to choose negative over a positive one? On being asked about it, she said, "That's the difficult task! Our producer wanted a girl will look positive and negative at the same time because when Vibha enters the house, she is shown positive and later on she turns negative after she falls for Vihaan (Ravish Desai). She is only negative towards Arushi (Mugdha Chaphekar) and Vihaan's mothers. This character is similar to Meera who becomes mad in love and everything is fair in love for her. I have done theatre plays also before this so I thought that being an actor, one should not think about playing negative or positive roles. Playing a negative character grooming me as well as an actor. As actors, we can get to do anything and we should always be ready to do anything."
We also asked Simpy whether she gets hate mails from the fans, to which she replied, "No, rather I am glad that they appreciate my acting, my looks and outfits and I am happy about it. This gives me a boost. So far I haven't received anything negative."
"I am getting offers for other shows as well. I will be heading to Chandigarh soon and will have few meetings here once I am back from there. I am okay with doing more of television as well. Let's see what comes on my way," signs off the actress talking about her future plans.
Good luck Simpy!
