Amongst the five new shows introduced by the channel last year, Zee TV launched the second season of its immensely successful weekend thriller,?Brahmarakshas. Produced by Balaji Telefilms, the show narrates the gripping account of the Brahmarakshas who has returned with twice as much power and is on a mission for immortality. The show features television actress?Nikki Sharma, who is seen?essaying the lead character of?Kalindi?opposite popular actor?Pearl V.?Puri, seen as the hero Angad in the show. While Angad and Kalindi’s chemistry has surely been the talk of the town, television actor Rohit Choudhary’s performance as Robin, Angad’s younger brother is being loved by the viewers. So far on the show, the actor has largely been seen as this light-hearted, easy-going, affable guy. However, a new twist will see Rohit’s character metamorphose into a very different avatar.
It seems Rohit’s character Robin will be getting possessed by the Brahmarakshas and demonstrating extreme rage and anger on-screen. For the success of the sequence, Rohit completely immersed himself into the character's personality and it did take him quite some time to come back to reality.
Sharing his experience, Rohit Chaudhary shared, “Performing scenes where Robin is possessed by the Brahmarakshas was quite a task as it demanded a lot of energy and it drained me quite a bit. I had to mentally prep myself before going for the shot. And even after that, it took me quite some time to calm my emotions down and get back to reality once again. I had a hard time bringing my emotions under control and was pacing around for quite sometime alone to get my sense of calm back.”
Rohit added, “Despite the challenges, it feels great to have landed this opportunity of playing a sequence where my performance needs to be high on drama, aggression, and histrionics. Performing characters like the Brahmarakshas gives me an adrenaline rush and it’s indeed an overwhelming feeling. The experience was extraordinary because the character comprises so many layers and shades, playing it on-screen has to be one of the best experiences I have had so far.”
Well, we surely can’t wait to see this new avatar of our chirpy and adorable Robin!
