Paris Olympics 2024 is making news for all sorts of reasons. From organizers making fun of ‘The Last Supper’ with a parody to women fighting against male athletes who apparently underwent sex change surgery, people are quite shocked. The first few days has given us two social media sensations. Both of them are from the world of pistol shooting. They are Kim Yeji from South Korea and Yusuf Dekic from Turkey. The two made everything look so damn effortless and netizens have gone wow.

Turkey’s Dekic is also inspiring manga visuals now. It is similar to the stardom of Kim Yeji whom fans now want to see in a video with BTS’ rapper SUGA aka Min Yoongi.

South Korean shooter Kim Ye-Ji won silver medal at the 10 m individual pistol event. Fans all over social media are going crazy over her “main character” energy. The lady’s swag and charisma is unmissable. Born in Danyang, the lady kept one hand casually in her pocket as she fired a winning shot. Her steampunk glasses, red lipstick and demeanour has made her viral. In 2024, she clinched gold at the ISSF championships. Her fashionable looks make her straight out of an action drama. She carried a towel with an elephant head key chain that apparently belongs to her daughter. Kim Ye-Ji is mother to a five-year-old kid.

Turkey’s Yusuf Dikec also made news for his super relaxed stance. In a sport where people use headgear, glasses and lenses, Yusuf Dikec opted for simple ear plugs and normal prescription glasses. He has been part of more than three Olympics. Yusuf Dikec said that the whole team had prepared hard and this win is for Turkey. He said to a channel that his technique was indeed rare. He is someone who shoots with two eyes open. He said even referees would be surprised by this. Yusuf Dikec is also seeing growth on his social media handles after this.
