Parineeti Chopra’s life is more political than mine, says Raghav Chadha with cheeky jab

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha are set to appear on the upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. The real-life couple, who married in 2023, bring their married-life banter, political digs, and some unexpected revelations to the stage. The episode drops on August 2.

As always, the show is packed with comic chaos. Raghav made a barefoot entrance—something Kapil Sharma couldn’t ignore. The backstory? A playful joota-churai stunt pulled off by Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda, who appear as Mona and Sona.

At one point, Kapil asked Raghav what’s tougher—winning an election or winning Parineeti’s heart. Without missing a beat, Raghav replied, “Elections happen every five years, but a wife’s heart must be won every five minutes.”

The episode also marks the return of Sunil Grover as the flashy Diamond Raja, while Krushna and Kiku’s characters keep trying to cast Raghav as their teacher in a fictional school.

The real curveball came when Archana Puran Singh asked if Raghav had ever considered joining Bollywood. His response? Classic political wit. “Aisa hai Archana ji, humara jo profession hai, usme bhi abhineta hota hai. Har neta ke andar ek actor hota hai. Jab main inki zindagi dekhta hoon, toh mujhe lagta hai inke kaam mein rajneeti bohot hai.” Parineeti nodded in agreement, adding, “True, that’s actually true.”

Raghav also attempted to pull Kapil into politics, joking that he already has the right mix—jokes, junoon, and jazbaat. Kapil laughed it off for now, promising nothing.

However, the shoot was briefly halted due to a medical emergency. Raghav’s mother, who was present during the taping, fell ill and had to be rushed to the hospital after showing signs of discomfort.

Despite the scare, the episode stays light-hearted, giving viewers a peek into the political and personal chemistry between the politician and the actor—with some sharp one-liners in tow.
