Pankit Thakker talks about shooting with royal costumes for his show 'Janam Janam Ka Saath'

When it comes to on-screen performance, Dill Mill Gaye actor Pankit Thakker surely knows how to leave everyone impressed. This time too the actor has nailed his performance with his new look especially the attire he flaunts while playing the character of Kunwar Saa, who's a mystic in his currently aired show 'Janam Janam Ka Saath'. He is seen wearing a kurta paired with a royal shawl.

When asked about how comfortable is he wearing such heavy outfits on a daily basis, he responded with a smile. He said, "My show is about reincarnation and we are the Royal Rajasthanis from Badmer. This show is all about larger than life sets, royal looks, heavy jewellery. It is one of the most loved genres and people love to watch it to escape from modern day's stories. "

He added, "Fashion plays a very important role in allowing each character to construct, carve and convey their identities to support the story and so while we were brainstorming about the kind of clothes my character would wear, this look was the most perfect one."

He continues, "However I have to agree that I do get tired wearing the heavy stoles and the jewellery but when I get messages on my social media about how the audience likes to see me in these outfits, it all becomes worth it. In real life, I would never wear such heavy clothes, I am a very simple dresser and most of the times you will see me in denims and tshirts. However when you are doing a show and playing a character that is larger than life you have to do what you have to do, there's no way around it."

On asking how does he spend his free time on the sets he revealed, "If I have a gap in between two scenes which very rarely happens, I immediately remove my heavy costumes and wear my simple tracks and tshirt and like to laze around in them. Also in my room, I put soft music on and dim lights and I like to meditate or just relax and read some books. I have been working non stop since past two years; I have worked round the clock. I think even when I’m sleeping, my mind never stops; so when it comes to my free time, I keep it very simple. I utilize the time by indulging in my favourite activities & pamper myself with a massage or by watching a film and having a glass of wine or going out with friends for dinner."

Previously Pankit was seen in shows like Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai, Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha and Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant among others.
