The popular Colors' show, 'Shakti... Astitiva Ke Ehsaas Kii' is not only being an absolute winner on the TRP charts being in the Top 4 for three consecutive weeks, but also has been the talk of the town for quite some time now.

While the show became the first ever to touch the 'risky' concept of kinnars and presenting that on mainstream commercial television made it an even bigger feat. However, with impeccable acting and brilliant script, the show has become a success that is.

Apart from Vivian Dsena, Reena Kapoor, Kamya Punjabi and Ayub Khan's amazing performances, the biggest ode of its success belongs to the lead actress, Rubina Dilaik aka Soumya.

However, we have a major revelation for you.

Rubina could have actually NEVER played the character of Soumya..

Yes! That is right.

The actress, while doing the look tests, when the show commenced, also did the look test and character audition for the character of Surbhi, which is currently enacted by Roshni Sahota.

We contacted Rubina and asked how does she feel that she almost could NOT have played Soumya, if finalized for Surbhi, to which she said, "An actor gives life to a character, so anything that would have been decided for me, I would have personally taken the challenge to give it my best. Hence, if I played Surbhi, it would also have been totally different and challenging in its way."

Well, we can just applaud the actress' approach to this and can keep getting wowed with her future performances!

Imagine, if Rubina did not play Soumya...Mahn, that, now seems so impossible, doesn't it?
