Nupur Sanon on willing to explore digital space & the pressure of box office

Actor Nupur Sanon has embarked on one-of-a-kind journey one can say. Unlike so many, Sanon made her first on-screen appearance with the mega hit song, Filhaal co-starring Akshay Kumar and went on to follow it up with the sequel of the song, Filhaal 2. 

And now the actor is all set to make her big screen debut in a film opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui called Noorani Chehra. Talking about how she is looking forward to her big Bollywood debut, she shared how she wishes to explore the digital medium too. In the pandemic, as theatres remained shut, OTT saw a boom with interesting films and web shows releasing online. Guess that has got Nupur excited, who says, “I am excited to explore the digital space.”

She further reasons, “The thing with theatrical releases is that there is competition over box office numbers and producers feel safe to invest in bankable actors instead of roping in the new and talented lot. With digital space opening up, the focus has now shifted on this talented lot that was considered not-so-bankable once. I think over a period of timeproducers will come and bet money on them too.”

Sanon feels that when it comes to the digital medium it is only the talent of the artistes that matter. She concludes saying, “This is the time and space where having a backing or having luck on your side doesn’t matter. Instead it is yourhardwork that will make you luckier as I don’t think anything is beyond talent.”
