Not one but Two actresses to ENTER Star Plus' Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji

Star Plus' Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji is one of those Star Dopahar shows that was shifted to the evening prime time slot and this move worked wonders for them, in terms of grabbing more eyeballs.

In an attempt to boost their decent ratings, the show recently telecasted their major turning point where Maasi sa (Saadiya Siddiqui) was shown to have trapped Uma Shankar (Avinesh Rekhi) in the murder of Poulomi (Madhura Naik). And to prove Uma innocent, Kanak (Rhea Sharma) and Uma follow Maasi sa to Bangkok to expose her.

And after the Bangkok trip ends, the makers will soon amp up the storyline with not one but 2 new entries.

The first one will be of actress Rishina Kandhari, who has been known to have repeatedly made appearances in the show's first season Diya Aur Baati Hum and even in Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji where she played a cameo as the Police Commissioner Arpita, reported Bombay Times.  

And as per sources, Arpita, who has now become a politician, will be seen returning to Kanak's life and will try to get her out of the mould of a homely housewife. She will be seen suggesting to Kanak about following in her mother's footsteps and become a police officer. And when Kanak confesses saying she can't become like Sandhya Rathi, Arpita tells Kanak to try her hand at politics.

When we contacted Rishina, the actress said, "Yes, I will be back on the show as a strong headed politician, who will have a positive influence on Kanak and try to steer her in the career direction. Arpita will be seen boosting Kanak's confidence and help her stand on her feet."

We also hear that unlike Rishina's previous appearances, this will be a full fledged role and not a cameo.

Apart from Rishina, there are also reports of how the makers are planning to rope in actress Rati Agnihotri as the main vamp, to amp up the drama quotient in Kanak and Uma's lives.
