In April, Nora Fatehi made a statement on feminism that didn't sit well with many. The actress and model supported the idea of prioritizing family but may have chosen her words poorly. In a recent interview with Mashable India, Nora has issued an apology to anyone who may have been offended by her previous remarks.

In a previous chat with BeerBiceps, Nora Fatehi expressed her view that men and women are not equal and she doesn't support the notion of "I don't need anybody. “I don’t believe in this shit. In fact, I think, feminism f***** up our society,” Nora had said.

She said, “I think women are nurturers, yes, they should go to work and have their own life and be independent but to a certain extent.” Nora mentioned that even though some label it as old-school and traditional, she views it as a regular way of thinking. The Crakk actress has also supported women's rights, emphasizing that when feminism takes on a radical form, it can pose risks to society.

In a recent interview with Mashable India, the 32-year-old elaborated on her previous statement, mentioning that she finds the Western culture's promotion of the 'I can do everything by myself' ideology acceptable. Nonetheless, she believes in promoting nuclear families and households consisting of two individuals who can collectively nurture children to become valuable members of society in the future.

Nora clarified that her comment was misconstrued and taken out of context, “I definitely apologize for making people upset and hurting them, but that was not the intention at all.” She also mentioned that she is well-educated and can express her opinions based on her life experiences. Fatehi added, “I don't want what's happening in the West to happen in this part of the world because there's nothing better than upholding traditions and values and morals.”

On the work sphere, Nora Fatehi was last featured in Kunal Khemu's Madgaon Express.
